Meet Andrew Pastor and Brendan Parker, two dedicated physicians who are passionate about making healthcare more accessible and efficient.
Andrew, an orthopedic surgeon with a decade of experience, has always been driven by a passion for problem-solving and a desire to make things better. As a former mechanical engineer turned surgeon, he's always looking for ways to optimize systems and improve patient care. Brendan, a sports medicine and emergency medicine physician, shares Andrew's commitment to delivering high-quality care and his frustration with the current state of the patient referral process.
The idea for OrthoCompass was born out of a shared experience. Brendan had a patient with a complex elbow fracture, but couldn't connect them with a specialist orthopedic surgeon. The patient was left with a list of local orthopedic groups, but no clear direction. Andrew and Brendan realized that this was a common problem, and that patients were often struggling to navigate the complex healthcare system.
They saw an opportunity to create a better way. With OrthoCompass, they aim to connect patients with local orthopedic surgeons who specialize in treating their specific injuries. By providing a simple and intuitive search platform, they hope to facilitate better, faster, and safer care.
Andrew and Brendan are both dedicated to their work and passionate about making a positive impact. Andrew specializes in shoulder and elbow surgery, and is a practicing upper extremity orthopedic surgeon in Edmonds, WA. Brendan specializes in primary care and non-operative care, and practices sports medicine in Edmonds, WA, and emergency medicine in Seattle, WA.
Together, they're working to bring a little more compassion and kindness to the healthcare system, and to make it easier for patients to get the care they need.
